Stonefree was formed in Nov. 1995 as an indie / underground band. When they unanimously decided to use the name Stonefree, later did someone point out that it was also the title of the first song Jimi Hendrix composed. They got their big break from the song "Listen" which was included in the Single (ABC 5 reality-based show) soundtrack.
