The debut album by the band Rivermaya was released in 1994. The band then consisting of Bamboo Mañalac on vocals, Nathan Azarcon on bass, Perf De Castro on guitars, Mark Escueta on drums and primary songwriter Rico Blanco on keyboards went on to receive nationwide popularity similar to that of the Eraserheads. The album includes the hits Ulan, Bring Me Down, Awit ng Kabataan and the pop-ballad 214. This album also marks the last time all 5 would record under the Rivermaya name as Perf De Castro decided to leave to form his own band Tri-Axis.
